Certificated Application Procedures

The Hawthorne School District is seeking properly credentialed individuals for a variety of positions.

In addition to your application, the following items are required:

An original letter of application stating your reasons for making application and qualifications for the position you are seeking;

  1. An original letter of application stating your reasons for applying and your qualifications for the position that you are seeking;
  2. A current resume that summarizes your training and experience;
  3. A photocopy of your CBEST card (a one-year waiver may be obtained for out-of-state candidates);
  4. A photocopy of your current or most recent teaching credential(s), certificate(s), and/or license(s);
  5. All of your university or college transcripts; 
  6. A copy of your university or college placement file or three (3) letters of reference that have been written within the past year.

In order to ensure that your application receives the consideration it deserves, please be sure to provide the complete "Application Package." Your application will only be considered if this "package" is completed and received prior to the application deadline date.

Applications must be submitted on official District Application forms and, if indicated, must also include a Supplemental Application form. Resumes will not be accepted as a substitute for these forms.
