The Hawthorne Education Foundation was founded in 2004 and its Board is comprised of community leaders and the Hawthorne School District Superintendent.

The goal of the foundation is to support the educational programs and services that the Hawthorne School District provides to its students and their families.  The proceeds from donations and fundraisers will be used to support the Foundation's Educational Grant program.  This program allows teachers, schools and other district program personnel to apply for grants to supplement the cost of equipment, materials and other costs related to regular classroom programs.  In addition, grants can be used to purchase equipment, materials and other items for use in our extra-curricular programs and other after school programs or activities.
