Gymnasium Project

The construction of the new Gymnasium has a estimated start date of September, 2012 and an estimated value of $3.1 million.

Designed by Bryant, Palmer, & Soto, Inc. and approved by the Division of the State Architect on June 5, 2012, the gymnasium will be an11,789 square foot gymnasium .The proposed gymnasium will be a single story building containing one main high school sized basketball/volleyball court with bleachers for 250 seats. It will contain a stage component that could be used for performances which allows the gymnasium to double as an auditorium. Additionally, the gymnasium will include two restrooms, two changing rooms, a staff restroom, an equipment room and a coaches’ office. The gymnasium is designed to accommodate the existing student population at the site.

Two Story Building

In 2007, Bud Carson Middle School inaugurated a new 15,000 SF building. The building was designed as a twelve classroom two story building.

Additionally, the building is equipped with boys and girls restrooms available on both first and second floor and restroom facilities for staff.

The addition of the two story building made it possible to remove over ten old modular classrooms. The removal of the modular classrooms

opened up almost two acres of field space for the students at Bud Carson to play and exercise on.
