The Hawthorne School District is pleased to announce that it is making Acellus the online standards- based program, available to all students in Transitional Kindergarten through eighth grade. Your child will be utilizing this online standard-based program across many content areas. The Acellus program caters to the individual skill set of each student through customized, tiered, and personal instruction. As the student progresses through the course, every response is recorded and monitored. There is a Live monitoring tool that parents can access through the parent interface, which allows parents to check on their child's progress in real-time, view your child's grades on assessments and exams, and see how often your child signs in and the total time spent watching lessons or working on problems. This shared access enables you to collaborate with your school community and contribute to your child's learning experience.

The Hawthorne School District will utilize Clever as a single sign-on solution for Acellus. Clever is the launch page for students to access their learning tools. Students will log-in to their Acellus student portal in school and complete a student orientation module. Once they are logged in for the first time, we would like for students to access their accounts and continue to use the program at home. Following the first days of school, a Clever sign-in parent letter will be sent home detailing for parents how to get started with your child’s Acellus ID and password. Students are able to access Acellus via the web, allowing them to work wherever they have Internet access.
